ALBUM ART: Satellights - Alpha, Satellights - FREE
When I graduated from New York University, I moved back to Korea because:
1. I hated New York at the time. I like it now but back then it was just meh.
2. I couldn't get a job in the States. Understandable considering how useless I was.
3. I missed home.

One whole year of job hunting can feel quite devastating for anyone.
So I started a new band to keep me sane and functioning.
I named it Satellights, to make music that can help everyone around the world feel better.
We had a pretty rough start. After a few member changes, we were good to go.
Finally had our first digital single released after like 3 years of playing.
It was this one:
To symbolize alpha male dominance, I used a wireframe A with a peacock-like rectangular glow behind. Our music was based on hardcore but mostly reliant on EDM sounds. Fans loved it so we released physical copies which sold out pretty fast.

But when we tried to move on with our next releases, we broke up.

Each member had a very different thing in mind when it came to band management. This is what happens when you don't have a label to take care of your band and creative directions. On top of our internal disagreements, we also had scheduling conflicts as some of us started to play in other bands. Trying to track one song was a nightmare.

Still, I wanted to keep going. I envisioned we could move forward, with or without some of us. So I made this for our next single:
Unfortunately, we never moved forward. Some of us quit. The rest had to find a way to keep going. I learned to let go. So the title changed and I made this album art:
By the time our next single finished recording, mixing and mastering, I was pretty much the only one left. So I was like fuck it. This is going to be distributed for free without getting registered for streaming. And I made this:
This was the final artwork for Satellights. We announced our breakup and played a farewell show last year (2018). We are still good friends though.
